Counseling

Everyone experiences stress, and new parents aren't exempt. Being a parent can be as challenging as it is rewarding. New families may experience financial hardships, relationship issues, domestic violence, health challenges, extended family problems and more. Any of these factors can increase a mother's likelihood of experiencing depression, anxiety or even substance abuse.

Young Family’s Program can provide free counseling for pregnant and parenting women who are experiencing emotional stress and/or mental health issues. The counselor's role is to assist a client in addressing her concerns and create goals to overcome them.

These services are available to clients of the clinic as well as to the community at no charge. We also partner with Lincoln Behavioral Health Center psychologists on our campus for supplementary support as well as referring clients to additional community resources if needed.
