Our Services

Research Coordination
Our staff members work with local oncologists and specialists to give local patients access to national clinical trials. Clinical trials provide the hope for better treatment options now and in the future. The Cancer Resource Center is a member of the Missouri Valley Cancer Consortium Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP). To view available Missouri Valley Cancer Consortium studies for which you may be eligible, click here.

Wig Bank
The Cancer Resource Center provides cancer patients with free wigs, scarves, hats and prostheses. You may try on donated wigs, scarves, hats or prostheses in the privacy of our offices. Either make an appointment by calling 483-2827 or 1 (800) 487-8786, or simply stop by between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to make a selection.

Information
We provide free information about your diagnosis, support groups, and community resources.  Brochures and booklets are available, plus we'll share Web sites with valuable information to help you effectively understand your options.

Counseling
It's challenging to understand your diagnosis, the suggested treatment, and its potential impact on your life all at one time. Patients, families and friends can find support and effective coping methods. We can refer you to counselors to help you through this transition. Limited financial assistance for counseling services may be available through The Cancer Resource Center for those whose insurance doesn't cover counseling and those without insurance. You can call us at the numbers listed above, and we'll gladly help you.
