Medical Coding Specialist

The Lincoln Family Medicine Center, a program of the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership, currently has a FT opening for a Certified Medical Coding Specialist. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in medical coding is required. Certification is preferred. This is an in-office position (not remote). This person is responsible for coordinating, verifying, distributing, and managing all coding services.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT, Category II, E/M coding, and at least two years of hands-on billing and coding experience in a health care organization. Certification in medical billing and coding is preferred. Responsible for providing superior, high-volume service in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a team player who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in our busy office.

Certified Medical Assistant

The Lincoln Family Medicine Center, a program of the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership, currently has a FT opening for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our clinic setting. The successful candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and medication administration.

Duties:

  • Provide exceptional patient care by assisting with vital signs, patient intake, and discharge processes.

  • Administer medications and injections as directed by medical providers.

  • Assist with minor procedures and perform phlebotomy as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Operate electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient information.

  • Handle urgent care situations with professionalism and a sense of urgency.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and patient care.

  • Participate in Level I Trauma Center activities and inpatient care as required.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and medication administration.

  • Experience working in a clinic setting or urgent care environment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

  • Ability to lift and move patients as necessary.

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Nursing Supervisor

This is an exempt position responsible for all nursing staff and clinical nursing operations. Will also have administrative responsibilities for risk management, patient care duties, utilization management, reimbursement, and accountable care organization and quality of care projects. Requirements:

  • Education: RN with current BLS required; BSN preferred.

  • Experience: 10 years of nursing experience preferred, with progressively increasing management/operations experience.
